Product Introduction
HYQ®-100 Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Root-Resistant Waterproofing Membrane is a novel waterproofing material manufactured via an extrusion process. It is produced by polymerizing ethylene-propylene rubber with polypropylene using a specialized blending technique, and by incorporating various additives such as antioxidants, light stabilizers, and high-efficiency flame retardants. This product complies with the requirements of GB 27789-2011 *Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Waterproofing Membranes* and GB/T 35468-2017 *Root-Resistant Waterproofing Membranes for Vegetated Roofs*.

Features:
Physical root barrier mechanism, offering long-lasting root-blocking performance without inhibiting plant growth;
Excellent weldability, ensuring secure and reliable overlaps;
Resistant to chemicals, animal and vegetable oils, and hydrocarbon oils, as well as microbial erosion;
Superior low-temperature resistance—remains flexible without becoming brittle or cracking at temperatures as low as -40°C—making it suitable for use in severe cold regions;
Excellent aging resistance; when used in non-exposed applications, it can match the service life of the structure itself;
Authoritatively certified by the Beijing Institute of Landscape Architecture, demonstrating excellent puncture resistance.

Scope of Application:
It is primarily applied in planted roofs, planted basement roof slabs, municipal landscaping, and various other waterproofing projects requiring root-penetration resistance.

Construction methods and techniques:
Construction methods: Two methods are available: full adhesion and loose-lay. Hot air welding is used for joints.
Construction process:
Full adhesion method: Clean the substrate surface → Mark positioning lines → Apply adhesive to the main surface → Lay the membrane → Overlap the membrane → Reinforce joints → Finishing → Acceptance inspection;
Loose-lay method: Clean the substrate surface → Pre-lay the waterproof membrane → Hot air weld the waterproof membrane → Reinforce joints → Inspection and adjustments → Acceptance inspection.


Storage and Transportation:
During storage and transport, products of different types and specifications must be stacked separately and not intermixed. Protect from direct sunlight and rain, and ensure adequate ventilation. Storage temperatures must not exceed 45°C; when stored horizontally, stacks should not exceed five layers in height, while vertical storage is limited to a single layer. Contact with acids, alkalis, oils, organic solvents, and similar substances is strictly prohibited.
During transport, prevent tilting or lateral compression; cover with a tarpaulin if necessary.
