Construction Methods and Procedures:
There are three primary construction methods for PVC waterproofing membranes: the Mechanical Fastening Method, the Fully Adhered Method, and the Loose-Laid Method. Seams are joined using a hot-air welding process.
Mechanical Fastening Method Procedure: Substrate cleaning → Installation of polyethylene film and insulation boards → Pre-laying of PVC waterproofing membrane → Fastener installation → Hot-air welding → Reinforcement of nodal areas → Inspection and finishing → Final acceptance.
Fully Adhered Method Procedure: Substrate cleaning → Layout marking (snap lines) → Adhesive application (field areas) → Membrane installation → Membrane overlapping → Reinforcement of nodal areas → Edge termination treatment → Final acceptance.
Loose-Laid Method Procedure: Substrate cleaning → Pre-laying of waterproofing membrane → Hot-air welding of membrane seams → Reinforcement of nodal areas → Inspection and finishing → Final acceptance.
