HYQ®-500 Composite Copper-Reinforced Root-Resistant Waterproofing Membrane is an elastomer-modified bitumen waterproofing membrane featuring root-penetration resistance, utilizing a composite copper reinforcement and a copper-ion-infused polyester felt as its core substrate. The product complies with the standard Q/320829OX010—2020, *Elastomer-Modified Bitumen Waterproofing Membranes with Copper Reinforcement*, and meets the root-penetration resistance requirements of GB/T35468-2017, *Root-Resistant Waterproofing Membranes for Vegetated Roofs*.

Features:
Leveraging the action of copper ions within the composite copper-foil substrate, it inhibits the meristematic tissue at the tips of plant roots.
It possesses excellent resistance to root penetration—a feature that neither hinders the normal growth of vegetation nor compromises its long-term waterproofing integrity.
It exhibits superior resistance to corrosion and mold.
It remains stable at high temperatures (no flow) and crack-free at low temperatures (down to -25°C), offering a wide operational temperature range (up to 105°C).
Enriched with effective modifying agents, it features a reduced melting point that facilitates easy oil exudation during heating; this increases the effective heat-absorption area, thereby lowering the required heating temperature and minimizing gaseous emissions.

Scope of Application:
Suitable for waterproofing projects on vegetated roofs and the top slabs of underground structures.
